Job Description:
Our client, a Dallas based Law Firm is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Malpractice Litigation Paralegal to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in medical malpractice litigation, with a strong background in handling complex cases, supporting attorneys, and managing case files from inception through trial. Bilingual Spanish proficiency is highly preferred to effectively serve our diverse client base.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all aspects of medical malpractice cases, including conducting case investigations, organizing evidence, and preparing legal documents.
- Draft pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery responses, and trial preparation materials.
- Coordinate and manage document review, including medical records, expert reports, and discovery.
- Conduct legal research, summarizing statutes, cases, and relevant medical literature.
- Maintain detailed and organized case files, ensuring all deadlines are met and that files are up-to-date.
- Coordinate witness interviews, including clients, medical experts, and other parties as necessary.
- Provide support during trial preparation and attend trials to assist attorneys as needed.
- Communicate with clients in a compassionate, professional manner, providing case updates and gathering pertinent information.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience, with a focus on medical malpractice litigation.
- Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred to support client needs.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, processes, and procedures specific to medical malpractice.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, case management software, and legal research platforms.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Paralegal certification or a degree in Paralegal Studies is preferred but not required.
